Reach Out

When was the last time you reached out to someone just to see how they were doing? When was the last time you called or visited someone just to check in with them? When was the last time you gave someone a card or handwritten letter just to let them know you were thinking about them? If we would all be honest, we don't reach out as often and much as we should. In Mark 5:25-34, there was a woman who reached out to Jesus and her life was never the same. In these particular Bible verses, there was a crowd of people surrounding Jesus. Now, this was not new or unusual as many times Jesus had lots of people around Him. On this particular day, however, there was a woman in the crowd who had been dealing with an issue for 12 years. She needed help. She had went to every doctor in town and spent all her money, but nothing helped. In fact, her blood condition had not gotten better, but worse. Yes, there was a crowd, but the woman decided to press her way to Jesus anyhow. She had tried everyt...

Are You The One?

It can be hard being the only One doing or saying something that is right. It can be hard being the only One dressed a certain kind of way or saying a different opinion than everyone else. Nevertheless, there are many times when being the only One can make a difference. In Luke 17:11-19, we see where One stood out among the rest. Jesus was walking through a town when 10 men who had leprosy cried out to Him to have mercy on them. Leprosy was a skin disease that could result in paralysis. As they begin to walk away from Jesus, all 10 men were healed from the leprosy. Only One of the men turned back to Jesus and told Him thank you. You see, while we may not have had leprosy, we all have had a condition that kept us spiritually bound and paralyzed, but Jesus delivered us from it. Our condition could have been health iss...

The Choice Is Yours

Choices! Choices are everywhere. Life is full of choices. We make lots of choices every day. We make choices about what clothes we wear, food we eat, people we hang out with, words we say. In school and college, we can choose what classes to take and majors we will pursue. We can choose to pursue a certain career or enter into the military. Our choices can be right or wrong, positive or negative. Of all the choices we make, the most important choice we can ever make is to have a relationship with Jesus. God chose to send His only son Jesus to die and be raised to life for us, so we could be saved. God loves us that much! You're one prayer away if you haven't made that choice. To ask Jesus to come into your heart and life, you just need to know ABC. A stands for admitting that you have sinned and done wrong. B stands for believing Jesus died on the cross for your sins and wants to give you a new life. C stands for confessing the sins that you have done. Having Jesus in our lives...
