Glow Up!

When something glows, it stands out and is noticeable. It's shiny, bright, and get's one's attention almost immediately. During the day, we notice the sun shining in the sky. At night, we notice the stars and moon shining in the sky. When a lamp or light switch is turned on in a room, the light is quickly noticed as darkness is no longer present. When we use a flashlight, it helps us see what's around us and what's ahead of us. The light guides the way for us to go. What all of the above mentioned had in common is that the light was glowing. When a person glows, there is a shine, a radiance, a joy that comes from them. The smile they have is deeper than the surface and is not based on current circumstances. The joy comes from the inside and shows on the outside. When there's a glow, there's no denying there is a difference. As Christians, we too should shine. There should be a glow about us everywhere we go. No, we don't have to be famous, on YouTube, or...

Level Up!

Levels involve moving up from one place to the next. With each level you move, you go higher. For instance, elevators allow us to move up to different floors. Museums have many different levels and we can visit exhibits on all the levels as we choose. On games we play, there are different levels to complete. We have to pass one level to get to the next. Each level does get more challenging, but winning is possible! In order to go from one level to the next, there has to be effort on our part. When we get in an elevator and we want to go from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor, it's going to sit there until we push the button to go to the floor we want. At museums that have more than one level, we'll only be able to see what's on the first floor unless we physically walk up the stairs or take the elevator. If we just stay on the 1st floor, we'l miss out on what's on the other floors and there could be some really cool exhibits on those other floors! When we play games wi...

Be The One

Will you be the One who does right? Even if no one else is doing right, would you still do it? Yes, I know. It can be hard to be the only One doing right. It can be hard to be in the minority when everyone else is in the majority. We do live in a time where a lot of people are doing wrong and going along with wrong. However, we don't have to be that one. We don't have to go along with the wrong. We can be the One who goes in the right direction and sets a good example. Our neighbors, classmates, coworkers, students, family members, friends, clients, customers and brothers and sisters in Christ need us to set a good example. They may not see a good example anywhere else. All it takes is One person to step up and make a change. Only One! Can you imagine if One started a change, then another, then another and so on?! Before you know it, change is starting to happen in some of the most unlikely places you thought you would see it in. Change would be everywhere! We might be nervous ...
