Just Because

 We have been blessed to see another day of life. Praise God for that 😊! Life itself is a gift and is precious 💝. For that reason alone, every day of the year should be treated as a special occasion. Yes, there are certain holidays that are set aside on the calendar to celebrate. Yes, we have birthdays, weddings, baby showers, anniversaries, retirements, and other momentous occasions to celebrate. Holidays and special moments are a great time to celebrate and enjoy the moment. Yet, what happens to all of the other days? We can celebrate and be grateful for every moment. Every day we have a reason to give thanks to God 💝. Why wait to get your hair and nails done when it's for a special occasion? Of course, you want to look nice for a special day, but you can do that any day, and it can still be special. Why wait to wear your favorite shirt or outfit? Why wait to wear the pop of color? I love to wear my pop of color 😊. Why not wear it now? We don't have to wait until a holiday or birthday to check in with someone. Check in just because. Send the text or email just because. Send a thinking of you card or note just because. Checking in means a lot! I made a few phone calls to friends recently that I had text more than called recently. I hadn't heard their voice for a while and told them I wanted to hear their voice. Side note: Hearing a voice means so much to me, especially after losing Momma and Daddy. It was a just because call. Treat yourself to a fancy dinner or your favorite meal just because. Laugh out loud just because 😁. Watch a funny movie just because. Do something you did as a kid just because. Read a new genre just because. Get together with family and friends just because. We don't need a special reason to check on our people or spend time with them. The fact that they are our people and we love them is enough right there! Put your favorite song on repeat over and over again just because. So, today I want to encourage and remind us not to wait until a special occasion happens to give thanks and celebrate. Yes, enjoy and soak up those moments definitely 💕. However, don't postpone joy. Don't postpone laughter. Don't postpone fresh air and warm sunshine. Don't postpone checking in. Don't postpone having fun. Don't postpone living your best life and making memories. Make beautiful memories just because 😊. Take time to do something today just because 💙. God bless you!
