Fall Is In The Air

Family and friends gathered around the TV cheering on their favorite football team. Colorful leaves crunching under your feet. Boots. Hoodies. Apple pie. Hmm...smells like fall is in the air! We are currently near the end of the summer season, which means fall is up next . I love that in the fall I can wear my boots and hoodies and watch the leaves change color 😁💛. Ecclesiastes 3:1 in the Bible tells us that "There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven." This verse reminds us that there are different seasons. We can't have one season all year long (even though some may like that idea 😊). Each season (fall, summer, winter, spring) brings something different to embrace. We may not always like every physical season and the weather conditions it brings, but all of them come in our natural world. In our lives, we have different seasons as well. Every season may not feel good, but it brings something we need. It may bring peace, self reflection, letting go of habits and relationships, growth, preparation, different perspectives, new community, new relationships, and restoration. We have to make the best of each season. Remember one season doesn't last forever. The seasons do change 👏! Whatever situation you're facing currently, you can know it's only for a season. The change is coming 💛! In fact, the change may already be happening, but it may not seem like it because you don't see change on the outside. Small choices do lead to big results. I'm a witness! Here's an example from my own personal life. After finding out I had anemia in June, I begin to get monthly blood work, take an iron supplement and eat more iron rich foods. Each time I would get my blood work done, my iron levels would improve. Praise God 💕 ! I got a recent call from my doctor's office earlier this month saying that I no longer have to get monthly blood work done and to keep doing what I'm doing. With the daily steps I was taking, change was happening. My health has been changing for the better and I'm so grateful 💛! Changing may not always have gains, but there could be losses too that involve shedding (letting go) of wrong habits and relationships. Letting go of the wrong makes room for the right. As I mentioned, I love seeing the leaves change color in the fall 💕! The vibrancy and brightness reminds me we can have brightness and transformation in our lives. Every day may not look bright, but we can find the good things that are happening. We have to be thankful for every bright spot along the way, which is something I have to keep reminding myself to do more of 💛. Let's train our eyes to see bright spots in our every day lives. Keep taking consistent steps forward in your goals.  Keep thinking about God's Word (Philippians 4:8). Keep living God's Word and let it become a part of you (John 15:16, 17:17). Keep expecting change because it can happen at any moment. So get ready because a new season is on the horizon!! Fall is in the air💛😁!!
