Look Down

Where have you been going lately? Where do you plan to go to? What steps have you made along the way or plan to make to get there? These are all important questions to ask ourselves along our life's journey. Not only do we have to be mindful of the physical locations we go to, but we also have to be mindful of our thoughts and where they lead us to. Remember it's our thoughts that lead to actions. In life, there are many different paths available to us, but we have to choose the right one πŸ™. Just because it's a path doesn't mean it's the one I'm supposed to walk on. For instance, if we think about a path on a trail or at a park, not all may lead you to the right destination. Some may veer you off course, while others lead you to a dead end. You have to turn around at the dead ends and find your way back out to the right direction. In life, God's Word has to be our standard. His Word will not lead us wrong. Every day, we have a lot of choices to make. Every day, we need to look down  and see where our feet are leading us to. We need to check our physical feet as well as our thoughts. We need to ask and reflect on what we're walking into. There are some relationships we should not walk into. There are some mindsets we should not walk into. There are some habits we should not walk into. Every thought and action should be checked with the Word of God. Proverbs 14:12 in the Scripture says, "There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death." It may seem like it's the right path, but the right path will not drain us and have us doing things that will not help us. That's the path we don't want to go down. We want to be on the path that speaks and leads to life πŸ’™. We should want to walk into peace, not drama. Forgiveness, not grudges. Truth, not lies. Thankfulness, not complaining. Consistency, not inconsistency. We should walk into spaces where we are free to be ourselves. We should walk with people that allow us to be ourselves and appreciate and love us. We should walk with people who are cheering us on, not putting us down. So let's be mindful every day of where we're stepping to and who we're stepping with. Let's stop from time to time to look down to see exactly what is going on at the present moment and reflect on whether we're making the right choice. It's okay to look down for a minute to see if we're on the right path. When we are staying aware of where we're going and seeking God and His Word, we can make sure we're on the right path. Psalm 37:27 in the Scripture says, "Turn away from evil, do what is good, and settle permanently." Don't settle in evil and wrongdoing. Instead, settle in what's good, wise and right in God's eyes. That's the path that will lead to life and assure that we're stepping in the right place with the right peopleπŸ’™. God bless you πŸ™!!
