Loved.
When you hear the word love, you may think of Valentine's Day, Christmas or another special holiday. In regards to love, you may think of a special someone or something special you enjoy doing or watching. Today, I want to come remind you at this halfway point of the year that you are loved π. That's it- that's today's message π!! There is a lot going on in the world around us. There is a lot going on in our local communities. There is a lot going on in our personal lives. I understand about hard times because every day is not easy. We may not feel loved every day, but we are loved every day and need to be reminded of that. To be loved means to be cherished. When someone is cherished, they are protected and cared for very much. Some synonyms for loved are admired, appreciated, supported and held in high esteem. You knew the word girl in me was coming out π. Know today that you are cared about and loved very much. In case no one has told you today, you are appreciated. I know life gets hard and the unexpected pops up (I've been there!), but that doesn't change the fact that you are loved. We are loved in every season of our lives. In the sunshine and rain, we are loved. In the blooming and dormant season, we are loved. You have people in your life who are supporting and loving you. You have people in your life who want the best for you. People who love you want the best for you π. If you're struggling with finding your people, find people who have common interests and beliefs as you. You want people in your circle that love themselves and others. Know you are seen and you matter π. No matter what age, background, or past experiences, you are loved. We need to remind ourselves daily and as many times as needed that we are loved. Speak to ourselves daily and say, "I am loved." Write it down on a post-it note, on your mirror, on your screen saver on your phone, or on your social media profile. Whatever you need to do to remind yourself, I encourage you to do it and I will do the same. Jeremiah 31:3 says that God loves us with an everlasting love. That means God's love will never end. God loves you and I so much π!! Not only should we tell ourselves we are loved, but we should take care of ourselves. When we love ourselves, we want to be our best self. It's taking care of our whole being. Right now while I'm on my summer break, I have been spending a lot of time going to doctor appointments to get physical check-ups. Some are right on time and others are overdue. Nevertheless, I'm making time to do what's best for me, so I can be an even healthier version of myself than I am now. As one of my cousins pointed out when I was sharing with her, she said I was on a roll! Yes I am π!! Yes, I am rolling in the right direction and I pray you will join me in the journey in loving on you too π. Our body is a temple of God's and we have to make sure we take care of it (I Corinthians 6:19-20). We only get one body. I'm grateful for the opportunity and wisdom to get things taken care of π. Just like with any good thing you receive, you should want to share with others. As we love ourselves, let's show that love to God (Matthew 22:37-39) by obeying His Word and living for Him. Let's also show that love to others who are in our life and who crosses our path. Someone needs to know today that they are loved. They need to know you love them and God loves them π. A lot of messages are spread in the world, but let's spread this message: "You are loved. I am loved. We are loved." People need to know they are supported and appreciated. They need to know they matter. So, today go spread the love π!! I love you all and remember God does too! Until next time, take care π.
