There's Still Good News
When we look at the world around us, we hear a lot of news. We hear news about sports, politics, entertainment, the arts, schools, colleges, churches, and community on a daily basis. In reading a newspaper of a particular organization or community, we will find out the events happening in that area. We will read and hear about news that is good and news that is bad. When we hear news, there are all sorts of different reactions. News can make us happy, confused, upset, surprised, anxious, or concerned. In our own lives, we can share good news that is going on with those around us. We should definitely rejoice with others when they share good news with us (Romans 12:15) π. Then, there are moments that we don't always hear good news, and that's when we should be there for others and help others. When we can't find good news anywhere else, we can always know there is good news found in God's Word. God's Word gives us hope π. Today, I want to share with you good news that you can always hold on to in every circumstances.
1. God never changes. Yes, the seasons change, our circle changes, circumstances change, but God never does! I'm so glad π! People will change up on you quick, but God won't. We can count on God today, tomorrow, and forever (Malachi 3:6).
2. God's Word never changes, (Psalms 119:89, Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35, Hebrews 4:12). God's Word feeds our mind and soul, which in turn will affect our body. We should be reading and studying God's Word every day. We should be living it and speaking it over ourselves daily. We should be praying and speaking the Word in our prayers also π. God's Word stands forever! So, when we do hear news that troubles and concerns us, we can go to God's Word and find strength and comfort there. We can find peace in his Word. We can hold on to his promises because they are yes and Amen (II Corinthians 1:20).
3. God will take care of us.(Philippians 4:19, Isaiah 40:10-11). God will make sure we have what we need. I'm so thankful π! We can look at our provisions and be thankful. We should look around at the people God has sent to help us and say thank you to them. Even in our lowest moments and places in our lives, we can know it was God that has taken care of us. God has looked out for us over and over again. He's faithful and dependable!! I'm a witness! I'm grateful!!
4. God loves us. (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Psalms 136:26).He loved us so much that he sent Jesus to die for our sins and be raised again to life. He wants us to join His family where you can spend time with people who are like minded, encouraging, and can grow together. There's nothing like a loving family who looks out for each other π!! Because of God's love for us, we can have that π.
5. We have opportunities to grow and get better. These opportunities are called lessons. Life is always teaching us something. If we stop to look around at the world and in our personal lives, we can learn about what to do and what not to do. We learn what to say and what not to say. Do we always learn our lesson the first time? No! Do we have to get some lessons repeated? Oh yes! But, in the end, we can grow through what we go through. I am a witness! I have grown so much and I'm so proud of me π! You should be proud of you, too! Some lessons had to be repeated and not all has been easy, but I had to learn them and I am better because of it (II Peter 3:18).
6. We're still here! We have the gift of life π. We're alive! That's good news because as long as we have breath in our body, there is hope. Since we're still breathing, we need to find something to be thankful for (Psalms 150:6). God still has a purpose and plan for us because we're still here. Someone is better because of you. Some place is better because you're there. Your life matters. My life matters. Cherish your life. No day should be taken for granted.
Today, I hope you are encouraged and will hold on to the good news today. I also hope that you share this good news with others. Keep looking up and may God bless you ππ !!
