Get Back To It
Have you ever been in a slump of some sort and knew you needed to get back on track? Maybe it's been a reading slump. Maybe it's needing to get back to budgeting and looking at wants versus needs. Maybe it's not getting enough rest and taking needed breaks when you should. Maybe it was the deep cleaning or decluttering that had been neglected in your physical spaces. Whatever your slump is, know we all have one. We all have at least one or more things that we can improve and get better with managing and being intentional about. Before we start looking at our improvements, let's take a moment and thank God for all that is going right in our lives and for everything He's given us 😊. Let's thank God for the progress and growth. Let's thank God for every moment we have to live. Every breath counts and matters. Life is a gift and we should cherish it 💝. We should be thankful for the people God has placed in our lives. We should thank God for bringing us this far in our lives. It was all God! God, I thank you!!!! Today, I want to encourage us to get back to being intentional about what makes us happy. Let's get back to what will keep us healthy and give us peace 😊. Let's get back to how we can please God, not people. Let's get back to taking care of our bodies. Let's get back to speaking positive affirmations to ourselves. During a class discussion recently, one of my students brought up saying affirmations as we were talking about ways to be kind to others. She reminded me that morning that I need to get back to saying positive affirmations to myself 💝!! It's important we're kind to ourselves as well. Let's get back to saying no without explanation. Let's get back to saying yes to what will help us and advocating for ourselves. Let's get back to making time for fun and laughs. Recently, I went to my doctor's appointment and everything was good, so praise God for that! I was chatting with my doctor about how things were going . She's very personable and I love that!! She asked me how my walking was going as that's one of the things I shared with her about how I like to exercise. I had to be honest with her and tell her I had slipped and it wasn't as consistent as I wanted it to be, but I was getting back to it. I know I need to get back to consistent walking workout, so I've been working on that. I can tell when I miss my walking workout! When I do it, it feels so good 😊!! Let's get back to being excited about our passions, dreams, and adventures. Let's get back to doing the best we can. I'm getting back to learning to be still and knowing my schedule doesn't have to be packed, but it definitely should include me time daily 💗. Life isn't always easy, but know each day you can get back to being kind to you by doing what's best for you. I can look at where I'm at and say, "I'm proud of me 😊." You should be proud of you too! Keep going! Love and blessings to all!!
If you can’t be kind to yourself, you will find it very hard to be kind to someone else! Thank you for the reminder!
