A Voice of Hope
Our voice is powerful! Our words can be used for good or bad. Our words can be used to encourage or discourage. Our words can help or hurt. Our words can make the difference in someone giving up or going on. Our words have the power to change a situation. Proverbs 18:21 says, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." We have to watch our words daily. The words we say to ourselves and others are important. In a world where there's a lot happening that is emotionally draining, we need remember to keep taking care of ourselves and hold on to hope. Today, I want to share with you about a queen in the Bible who was a voice of hope for her people. She is one of my favorite women in the Bible! I'm talking about none other than Esther 😊. Esther's cousin Mordecai raised Esther like his own daughter after her mother and father passed away (Esther 2:7-8). Mordecai heard a message that all of his and Esther's people were going to be destroyed in one day and all their belongings taken (Esther 3:12-14). Mordecai was troubled at the news and told Esther to go to the king and ask for mercy on behalf of her people. He wanted her to be a voice of hope 💗. Esther knew she had to approach the king a certain way because her life was at risk in doing so (Esther 4:11). Mordecai sent a powerful message to Esther that reminded her of the power of her voice and position. Praise God for his encouragement because she was moved to action! We all need a "Mordecai" in our lives that will remind and encourage us who we are and what we can do in God 😊. All her people were told to join in a three day fast and then she would approach the king (Esther 4:16). In Esther 7:3, she did just that and asked if her and her people's life could be spared. Her request was granted as we see the people celebrating in Esther 8:16-17. Esther had a whole group of people who were connected to her. You and I also have people connected to us- family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and classmates. Let's be mindful of what we do and say in every situation. Let's be a voice that helps. Let's be a voice in prayer on behalf of ourselves and others. Let's be a voice to let others know who they are in God. Let's be a voice that is authentic and reminds others to be authentic as well. Be the voice that speaks, moves, and carries ourselves like God wants us to 💗. I believe Esther knew who she was and wore her crown proudly. We are royalty also! Proverbs 12:18 says, "The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Let's be a voice that uses wisdom. Whether one is listening or 100 is listening, let's be a voice of hope! May God bless you all 💗!!
Amen, Blessings to you and your brother !!!

DeleteI am watching a women’s sporting event. At the beginning, two women were talking about the power of voice. And how it has helped so many women move towards equality in sports. They said don’t be afraid to use your voice because it can empower you. 😊
ReplyDeleteWow! That's awesome!!
