Unavailable
We all have twenty four hours in our day. In that day, we eat, sleep, work, go to school and run errands. Each day may look different, but the day usually involves two components: doing some task and interacting with others. The task needed could be around the house, at school or work, going to an appointment or taking care of other business. The interaction with others may be face-to-face, online, on the phone, or through email or text. Even though we have 24 hours in a day, it doesn't mean we need to schedule something every minute of the day. We need to go to sleep and rest at some point in our day. When we are up and not sleeping, we don't need to be available to everything and everyone around us. Being available to everyone and everything is exhausting and mentally and physically tiring . When something or someone is available, it means it is at hand and accessible. When something is accessible, it is easily approached or entered. We can all relate to not being available to attend a certain event or meeting. We also can relate to not being available to answer the phone call or text message right away because the phone was not near you. In looking at our personal lives, there are some things we should be unavailable to 👏. There are some mindsets we should be unavailable to. There are some conversations we should be unavailable to. There are some movies, TV shows, and songs we should not access. There are some social media posts and pages we should not access. There are some friend requests we should confirm and give access to. There are some relationships we should be unavailable for. I want to encourage you in this season to take a good look at what you are available to and not available to on a daily basis 🙏. We should be unavailable to anything that does not bring us peace, causes us to compromise our values and beliefs and takes time away from God and the need to be refreshed. Let's be unavailable to toxic, negative and one-sided relationships. If it has to be forced, it's not genuine. Let's be unavailable to complaining and gossiping. Be unavailable to fake and phony. Be unavailable to selfishness and pride. Be unavailable to what's keeping you stuck and not helping you grow, progress, and move forward. Be unavailable to anything that will get in the way with your relationship with God and keep you from putting him first. Be unavailable to anything that keeps you from being refreshed. Let's only be available to what is going to help us, grow us, and move us forward in the right direction 💗. We have to be determined more than ever in this season to be intentional and watchful about who and what has access to us. What we access and who has access to us is important 💗. Let's use our 24 hours wisely. Be unavailable for anything less than the best. Show up every day as your authentic self. Watch your access, set aside time to be refreshed and be available only to what is healthy, positive and uplifting. May God continue to bless you🙏💖!
